Sculptural
Philosophy deals primarily with contemporary abstract sculpture.
Oftentimes however, these works will tend towards form and figure.
In this, we have remained flexible, and allow the artist’s
work to speak for itself.
Sculptural
Philosophy serves the collector. An art collection is a
personal portrait of the collector and each collection has its own
reason for existing. The primary joy for most artists is in connecting
with collectors, those who want to live with the artist’s
work in their personal space, be it their home, their place of work,
or corporate environment. Sculptural Philosophy builds relationships
with private and corporate collectors, assessing their space, their
personal tastes as well as intentions regarding collecting. Always
collect the art that sings to you for one reason or another. In
doing so, your collection will define itself over time and your
story will unfold.
Sculptural
Philosophy brings the artist and the collector client together.
We deal primarily with site-specific commissioned artworks. Sculptural
Philosophy connects the client with the artist in a collaborative
spirit that focuses on the creative process arising during the interaction
between the collector’s vision for their space, and the artist’s
visual language and expertise.
Each artist
maintains very busy production and exhibition schedules. Always
ask for a list of available works. Artist studio visits are encouraged,
location permitting.
Sculptural
Philosophy over-sees the process from inception to installation.
The commission of site-specific artwork usually requires an initial
drawing phase for the approval of the client-collector. Once these
drawings are approved, the client will usually step back and allow
the artist their creative process. The lines of communication are
always open and Sculptural Philosophy will track the artwork from
beginning to completion.
Sculptural
Philosophy is a resource. We have collaborative relationships
with strong artists in all media, as well as important galleries
and private dealers. We are more than happy to share our resources.
If we cannot find it for you, we will connect you with those who
can.
